MODERN MONOCHROME KITCHEN
CANARY WHARF, LONDON
Kitchen Renovation
For a home in East London, Karina Lon Interiors was tasked to redesign a kitchen into an open-plan where the family of four can cook while entertaining guests. This project included the full design of the kitchen renovation.
We used wood to add warmth and create a break to the all-white cabinetry – a contemporary kitchen design tied together by the dramatic stone veining. The marble bar area was designed to be dual-purpose, a space that doubles as a cooking and prepping area and as a space for guests to enjoy a glass or two while in conversation with the hosts.

KIND WORDS
“Karina designed a functional and sophisticated look for our Docklands home in East London including the hallway, open plan kitchen/dining/living and main bedroom. We started the process with a long list of how we hoped to use these spaces, and yet a limited idea of the aesthetic. Karina took what we were able to give, presenting different layouts and schemes to help develop the final view. She listened to our requirements and feedback throughout this process, gently steering our family towards achieving clean lines, a smart, modern and harmonious look throughout the apartment. At an early stage of the design process we went into lockdown and Karina responded by providing remote consultations - these resulted in detailed diagrams, links to source items and fabric samples arriving to make the experience stress free. We were able to retain furniture pieces important to us, which helped from a sentimental and budget perspective. Almost every aspect of the design - the overall layout, wall paint, cabinet scheme, tiles, worktop, ironmongery, mirrors, lighting, sofa etc. benefited from the guidance we received from Karina as part of the design process. Definitely recommend working with Karina - totally worth it!”
